Small Steps Day by Day

How to start writing this? Well, telling the truth, I failed again, and the picture represents my feelings right now. Every time I sin, I feel like I am in a place where I do not have an escape. I do not want to open my Bible because I know that the Lord will speak to me. I feel like I do not deserve anything, I do not deserve a Word from God. I don't want even to Say, father forgive me, because I do not deserve His forgiveness. I feel so sad and empty. Have you struggled with the same feeling as me? Please say "Yes", I do not want to feel that I am the only one with all these feelings.  The truth is that all those lies come  from the accuser, the one who does not want me to be together with my father. We have so many examples in the Bible. David sinned, he confessed his sin, received forgiveness from God, and knew God still loved him. Yes, for everything! Even when it is difficult, or you do not want to. BE GRATEFUL. I learned to be grateful even when I make a mistake. Why? Because this is when I learn something, and I know that it won't happen again. Are you sure? Yes, I need to learn from my mistakes. I need to learn that when I make decisions by myself without asking God, I will fail. Period! And now what? Well, it is not always a happy ending like in the movies. I accept the end of the chapter, but I still have a full story to tell. As we started this journey, step by step, walking in FAITH!  

What does it mean to love Like Jesus Loves? I was asking myself this question for so long. Believe me, I am still trying to understand the answer. Why is it so difficult? Why I have to think too much? The Bible says that: God is love, and  Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not envy. Love is not arrogant or rude. Love is not irritable or resentful. Love rejoices with the truth. Love believes all things. Love hopes all things. Love endures all things. Love never ends. The Bible also says that the love of Christ controls us. We simply must love because Jesus loved us first. No more questions, no more questions, no more doubts. Jesus is love. PERIOD.

I am not an artist, but I am trying to create something in order to encourage me to study my Bible intentionally. So today, was my third day feeling a little bit sad, and I opened my Bible and this is the Psalm that I studied today. YES! it was perfect. It has my Prayer on it! So I encourage you to READ it and PRAY it and WAIT for the Lord to answer. I am sure HE will do it!

The portion of the Bible that I read today is: Psalm 28:7 (NLT) The Lord is my strength and shield.      I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.      I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Some days ago, I received some bad news. But I learned that the Lord is bigger than those bad news, He is my strenght no matter what, no matter how much I cry. He is always there for me, I just to need to get closer. He never leaves me, but sometimes difficulties make me weak, but today I decide to declare: The Lord is my strength and shield.      I trust him with all my heart. Today, was not a good day. I must be honest. I thought everything would be ok...BUT NOT. I received bad news, I cried like crazy, and the only thing I had on my mind was: LORD, I NEED YOU. So I decided to have my 15 minutes, and I read Psalm 16:5-11 GNT and I got my answer: 5 You, Lord, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands.   6 How wonderful are your gifts to me; how good they are! 7 I praise the Lord, because he guides me, and in the night my conscience warns me. 8 I am always aware of the Lord's presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me. 9 And so I am thankful and glad, and I feel completely secure, 10 because you protect me from the power of death. Have you ever planned to do something, and then suddenly things happened and you postponed what you had in mind? .. ME TOO!!! Thousands of times I have decided to start reading my Bible from cover to cover. Hundreds of times I subscribed a Bible study group, in order to be accountable and make me read.. however. I always. failed in the first try 😞. So I want to encourage you to STOP SAYING TOMORROW, and start with me today!. There is always an opportunity to start. We just need to stop saying tomorrow and START TODAY! Things we need: Your Bible (I use my YouVersion Bible App , and also have my Bible hard copy) A pen or pencil (Or Colors.. if you want to mark with different colors key points) A notebook (Or your favorite Notes app, I love Evernote ...
